The Biaystok Science and Technology Park, created with the help of special EU structural funds and a small URBACT project, now employs nearly 100 persons and is the flagship of a new science quarter in the city, where appropriate infrastructure has enabled the employment of 1 000 more persons in the first year. The process relies upon the dynamic cooperation between research and entrepreneurs, creating a new knowledge based economic development. Case study
