Technical Dossier n°1
This 28-page dossier outlines the role of the nine networks, stresses the importance of national networking in informing and disseminating their work, and describes the complementary roles of the different stakeholders. It gives a snapshot of the priorities the networks are now pursuing. It then discusses governance principles and ways to engage with participants. A long chapter proceeds through the networks’ four-year life cycle, suggesting tools to complete the initial planning phase and to monitor progress. Though some space is given to the networks’ role in managing co-ordinated calls for proposals, the majority of the content deals with how to promote mutual learning between Member States. It offers tips in defining good practice, carrying out peer reviews and benchmarking exercises, and disseminating and mainstreaming what is learnt through tools such as policy briefs and case studies. Options for meetings formats are set out, and a special chapter deals with web meetings. The dossier covers the mainstreaming of social innovation and gender before concluding with a note on the reimbursement of expenses. Guidelines, Methodological dossier
